A history that started in 1969, in Santa Catarina State, southern Brazil, through an official meeting aiming at establishing a cooperative society. At this moment, 18 men representing eight cooperatives gathered to form the Cooperativa Central Aurora Alimentos with the main goal of improving the conditions of rural pig producers and conquer market share. In constant growth and with a high quality work, in 1993 it exported for the first time. Currently it exports to an average 80 countries, covering all continents and diversifying businesses, which made Aurora a global company.
